Position title: UW-Madison: Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Graduate

I knew I wanted to be part of creating the toolkit because of the extreme care this project and its creators showed from the inception to be an inclusive research project. The application of the participatory action research model was so important to me, because for so long research has focused on creating solutions to problems that were not necessarily defined by the population affected. By having people with intellectual disability play a key role in developing this toolkit, I felt it had a higher chance to be meaningful and successful and I appreciated the opportunity to learn from and help with the project!
