I am an OTD/PhD student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Originally I am from Eldridge, Iowa but I spent the past four years in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at Nova Southeastern University where I graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology with Honors in Major and a minor in Honors Transdisciplinary Studies. Moving to Wisconsin has definitely been a big change but I love Madison, my cohort, and being closer to family! My favorite occupations include yoga, anything outdoors, playing volleyball, crocheting, spending time with family and friends, reading, and painting. My research interests in the lab include working with self-advocates and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to better understand lived experiences and translating this knowledge to policy and engagement in health programming as well as working with autistic children and their families to promote positive mealtime experiences.
