Kathryn Bach

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Hello! My name is Kathryn Bach and I am a recent graduate from the UW- Madison MSOT program. While in the lab, I primarily worked on the non-human primate project, which examines the neurodevelopmental implications of congenital Zika virus exposure in rhesus macaques. My experience in the lab set the foundation for acquiring skills in evaluation and observation, documentation, and collaboration which have proven to be critical for working in a clinical setting. In one year, I hope to be in an inpatient rehabilitation unit working closely with patients with various neurological injuries and diagnoses. Outside of work, I also hope to be working towards increasing access to outdoor opportunities for individuals with diverse abilities. For me, backpacking with friends is a meaningful occupation, especially the part when you sit around the campfire and relax after a long day of hiking 😊.
